Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in food service or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in high volume catering, restaurant, or hotel operation
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and vendor purchasing/inventory programs
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to drive a commercial truck
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Executes events in catering, concessions, and other special events ensuring excellence in food and guest service
  • Responsible for taking all delivery orders, billing each order, and preparing delivery order sheets
  • Maintains pricing and portion standards
  • Establishes relationships with prospective and current clients to meet their needs
  • Updates event orders and maintains constant communication with clients
  • Manages weddings and serves as onsite contact for booked weddings
  • Effectively communicates clients' needs with catering staff to ensure event success
  • Completes event diagrams for best execution
  • Establishes and adheres to event timelines
  • Responsible for ordering and communicating rental needs
  • Performs event follow-up activities with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • Initiates and supports marketing initiatives
  • Proficient in all hourly positions and able to assist where needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Catering
  • Job duties may vary based on business needs including assignments to different operations
