Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in catering sales, event management, or hotel
  • knowledge of Delphi or similar event management systems
  • excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and negotiation skills
  • ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to outstanding guest service
  • flexible schedule including availability for some evenings, weekends, and on-site event support

  • bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field a plus

Job Duties

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of catering and event sales for corporate meetings, social functions, and group events
  • conduct site visits, client meetings, and tastings to promote the hotel's event spaces and catering options
  • prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts, ensuring accuracy and profitability while meeting client needs
  • work closely with culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • create detailed Banquet Event Orders and distribute timely information to all departments
  • maintain accurate records in Delphi and follow Hilton sales standards and procedures
  • meet or exceed catering and event revenue goals, including upselling food and beverage enhancements and AV services
  • cultivate strong client relationships to drive repeat and referral business
  • participate in local networking events, community outreach, and Hilton brand initiatives to generate new leads
  • provide on-site support during events as needed to ensure client satisfaction and successful outcomes
  • assist with forecasting, budgeting, and month-end reporting in coordination with the sales leadership team
  • solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through efforts such as outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, and networking while maximizing banquet space to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • plan, up-sell and detail the meeting/function with the client including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, complete contracts, prepare appropriate paperwork, coordinate with hotel areas, and resolve customer issues to ensure quality delivery and satisfaction
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate/hotel procedures and competitors to improve sales strategies and achieve goals
  • perform other duties as assigned
