Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in catering sales or a related sales role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with catering industry trends and practices
  • Proficiency in Marriott CI/TY, Microsoft Office, and relevant sales tools
  • Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills

Job Duties

  • Proactively identify and target potential clients for catering services
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of catering leads
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiations with potential clients
  • Prepare and deliver detailed catering proposals, contracts, and pricing
  • Work to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Understand clients' needs and preferences, offering tailored catering solutions
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process and beyond
  • Coordinate with event planners to ensure seamless event execution
  • Plan and organize logistics, including equipment, staffing, and setup details
  • Oversee event timelines, ensuring all aspects run smoothly
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies to promote catering services
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing materials and online content
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions
  • Provide regular sales reports and performance metrics to management
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to inform pricing and strategies
