Job Requirements

  • College degree preferred, preferably with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Three to four years previous catering sales manager, event planning, catering/conference services manager experience
  • Experience in a comparable AAA Four Diamond/Four Star hotel kitchen or higher is highly desired
  • General knowledge of conference technology and audio-visual needs
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in basic English
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing tools
  • Salesforce/Delphi experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Three to four years of experience in catering sales management, event planning, or conference services management
  • Experience in a AAA Four Diamond or Four Star hotel kitchen or higher is highly desired
  • General knowledge of conference technology and audio-visual needs
  • Proficiency in basic English speaking, reading, and writing
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing tools
  • Salesforce or Delphi experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Deploy departmental actions and catering strategies to meet team and company goals
  • Prospect, solicit, and close new business as well as maintain repeat clients
  • Work closely with Group Sales to sell customized menus that meet client needs and maximize revenues
  • Meet with clients to discuss event details and coordinate requirements
  • Escort clients through the property highlighting facility features and available services
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage Director on policy standards, operational guidelines, service manuals, and menu development
  • Meet and greet clients on event dates and supervise, as needed
  • Entertain prospective clients and provide tours of event spaces, outlets, and guest rooms
  • Monitor current sales trends and competitive market activity
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry organizations, and community events
  • Attend all required internal meetings
