Job Qualifications

  • Sales experience within the hotel industry
  • Catering Sales Management experience with a focus on weddings
  • Familiarity with Delphi.fdc
  • A passion for sales and a drive to achieve targets and objectives
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field
  • Proven experience in negotiations

Job Duties

  • Target and solicit new catering business through lead generation, face-to-face prospecting, and relationship referrals
  • Design, develop, and sell creative catered events
  • Develop existing business to uncover additional revenue opportunities
  • Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage
  • Respond to incoming catering opportunities
  • Perform site visits, both scheduled and on-demand
  • Assist with the forecasting all revenue catering revenue categories
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the vanity site for weddings
  • Handle customer compliments and complaints through distribution and resolution
  • Stay on top of industry trends making recommendations to the sales and catering teams
  • Work closely with the Event Manager to ensure all event details are communicated
  • Travel primarily outside the hotel to initiate new sales, solicit leads, hold conferences and make sales proposals and presentations
  • Determine rates and negotiate contracts
