Job Qualifications
- Sales experience within the hotel industry
- Catering sales management experience with a focus on weddings
- Familiarity with Delphi.fdc
- A passion for sales and a drive to achieve targets and objectives
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant field
- Proven experience in negotiations
Job Duties
- Target and solicit new catering business through lead generation, face-to-face prospecting, and relationship referrals
- Design, develop, and sell creative catered events
- Develop existing business to uncover additional revenue opportunities
- Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage
- Respond to incoming catering opportunities
- Perform site visits, both scheduled and on-demand
- Assist with forecasting all revenue catering categories
- Participate in the development and implementation of the vanity site for weddings
- Handle customer compliments and complaints through distribution and resolution
- Stay on top of industry trends making recommendations to the sales and catering teams
- Work closely with the Event Manager to ensure all event details are communicated
- Travel primarily outside the hotel to initiate new sales, solicit leads, hold conferences and make sales proposals and presentations
- Determine rates and negotiate contracts
