Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- experience in hotel catering sales or related field
- ability to use computer software and hardware efficiently
- strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- customer-service oriented with excellent hospitality skills
- ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- willingness to comply with company grooming and behavioral standards
- ability to work varying schedules including standing and moving for extended periods
- adherence to safety and operational guidelines
- competence in independent work on recurring projects
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- some college or college degree preferred
- degree in hospitality management preferred
- experience in hotel catering sales preferred
- prior experience in convention hotel catering sales preferred
- strong computer skills and ability to use hardware and software
- advanced English communication skills both verbal and written
- knowledge of additional languages preferred
- customer-service oriented with excellent hospitality skills
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- ability to work independently on recurring projects
Job Duties
- make personal visits to target companies and organizations
- book meetings, events, and conferences from assigned markets
- dedicate the majority of time to direct sales
- rework and maintain old account files while soliciting new accounts
- follow area sales processes for sales activity and funnel management
- respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and follow up
- attend trade shows and association meetings
- perform general office duties and assist other personnel
- maintain working relationships with hotel operating departments
- stay abreast of industry trends and recommend operational changes
- set up and conduct site inspections for area hotels
