Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • experience in hotel catering sales or related field
  • ability to use computer software and hardware efficiently
  • strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • customer-service oriented with excellent hospitality skills
  • ability to perform basic mathematical functions
  • willingness to comply with company grooming and behavioral standards
  • ability to work varying schedules including standing and moving for extended periods
  • adherence to safety and operational guidelines
  • competence in independent work on recurring projects

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • some college or college degree preferred
  • degree in hospitality management preferred
  • experience in hotel catering sales preferred
  • prior experience in convention hotel catering sales preferred
  • strong computer skills and ability to use hardware and software
  • advanced English communication skills both verbal and written
  • knowledge of additional languages preferred
  • customer-service oriented with excellent hospitality skills
  • ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • ability to work independently on recurring projects

Job Duties

  • make personal visits to target companies and organizations
  • book meetings, events, and conferences from assigned markets
  • dedicate the majority of time to direct sales
  • rework and maintain old account files while soliciting new accounts
  • follow area sales processes for sales activity and funnel management
  • respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and follow up
  • attend trade shows and association meetings
  • perform general office duties and assist other personnel
  • maintain working relationships with hotel operating departments
  • stay abreast of industry trends and recommend operational changes
  • set up and conduct site inspections for area hotels
