Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years hospitality or catering sales experience preferred
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- strong organizational and time management skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications
- At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related experience or a 4-year college degree with at least 2 years of related experience
- proficiency in Windows, company approved spreadsheets, and word processing
- proficiency in Delphi preferred
- flexible and able to work long hours
- ability to exert medium physical work
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests
- strong listening and problem-solving skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions

Job Duties
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems or matters requiring attention
- prepare and submit required reports promptly
- follow up on turnovers within 24 hours by phone and within 3 days in writing
- know meeting room setups and capabilities
- know sleeping room configurations and types
- respond immediately to catering inquiries
- use the Partnership Agreement to meet client needs
- have comprehensive knowledge of all hotel operational departments including guest services, reservations, housekeeping, audio visual, switchboard, accounting, restaurants, bars, and engineering
- interact with outside planners and vendors for event setup
- maintain pricing integrity and propose upscale menus for clients
- manage existing accounts and follow up for future business
- work with other food and beverage managers to address issues
- manage the function diary to ensure maximum revenue potential
- be visible on the floor and assist staff during functions
- conduct or participate in departmental and hotel training
- plan and execute holiday and special events
- use feedback from client evaluations to improve service and quality
