Job Requirements
- high school graduate
- some college or business school training preferred
- 3-4 years previous experience in restaurant and/or banquet sales
- knowledge of sales negotiation and closing process
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, and Delphi
- strong sales and interpersonal skills
- a minimum of two years hospitality experience
- professional phone etiquette and writing skills
- well organized and detail oriented
- ability to adapt to changing hotel needs
- ability to remain stationary for extended periods
- ability to walk and be mobile for extended periods
- ability to lift and exert up to 25 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- some college or business school training
- high school graduate
- 3-4 years previous experience in restaurant and/or related banquet experience
- knowledge of sales negotiation and closing process
- ability to clearly communicate with proper grammar in English
- preferred Spanish as a second language
- ability to provide legible communication
- ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and Delphi
- previous training in guest relations
- strong sales and interpersonal skills
- hospitality experience minimum of two years
- professional phone etiquette and writing skills
- high level of creativity
- thorough knowledge of restaurant layout, rate structure, and capacities
- adept with Delphi systems and catering database
- well organized and detail oriented with excellent follow-up
- excellent communication skills both internally and externally
- nimble and adaptive to hotel needs
Job Duties
- responsible for sales catering and corporate events
- act as liaison between client and banquet operations
- maintain accurate sales records and notes within PMS and catering database
- assist in developing sales goals and strategies with director of catering
- review and update menus, packages, and upgrades to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue
- create and update sales collateral and tools for the department
- organize and represent restaurant at off-premise and charity events
- attend appropriate market organizations and industry events
- provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production and sales activity reports
- supervise execution of banquets occasionally
- assist with additional reports and special projects as assigned
