Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in sales preferably within the catering or hospitality industry
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and mouse frequently
  • Ability to read and interpret documents with or without corrective lenses
  • Ability to hear and understand conversations in meetings and calls
  • Ability to move around office and attend client meetings at various locations
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive to meetings and events
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to adapt to varying physical demands based on meetings, set ups, and travel

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and expand the client base
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and grow existing accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored catering solutions
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and event execution
  • Prepare and present detailed catering proposals and contracts to clients
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and service agreements to close sales and secure contracts
  • Collaborate with the catering team to ensure client expectations are met and events are executed smoothly
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of catering services, including menu selection, setup, and logistics
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies
  • Track and report on sales performance, including revenue, client acquisition, and market penetration
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to continuously improve catering services and address issues promptly
  • Work closely with the catering operations team to ensure alignment between sales and service delivery
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members as needed
