Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience in a catering sales management position
  • prior management or leadership experience
  • two years of customer service experience
  • knowledge of Caterease or equivalent software preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • strong customer service orientation
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to move around the facility and stand for long hours during events

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years experience in catering sales management or equivalent education and event management experience
  • prior management or leadership experience preferred
  • two years of customer service experience preferred
  • strong customer service orientation
  • experience with Caterease or similar scheduling software preferred
  • extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • excellent organizational and planning skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Produce banquet event orders
  • prepare catering contracts and suite invoices
  • establish payment arrangements in compliance with accounting guidelines
  • obtain and track client signatures on delivery receipts, sales orders, and contracts
  • ensure successful event execution by checking food standards, room setup, and on-time service
  • resolve client concerns and report them to management
  • negotiate and arrange pre- and post-contract services
  • organize prospect files for promotional use
  • formulate business solicitation plans with sales, marketing, and box office
  • analyze event requirements and outline available facilities and services
  • coordinate and communicate client needs to internal departments
  • coordinate site inspections with clients
  • maintain all event files related to catering sales
  • generate revenue and provide excellent service to guests
  • meet catering needs of guests
  • develop communication lines with event services, operations, culinary, and accounting
  • keep all event details current
  • seek, negotiate, and contract new and repeat business through sales calls, telemarketing, networking, and attending events
  • provide detailed event analysis to support company goals and guest satisfaction
  • review past events for repeat clients to meet expectations
  • provide on-time service for client satisfaction
  • follow up promptly with customers from first contact to event completion
  • continuously interact with clients throughout events
  • manage and work event calendar for designated venues
  • manage and host catering and live events as scheduled
  • perform other assigned duties
