Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of hotel, catering, and events industries
- Excellent computer skills including Sales Force, Amadeus Room Diagramming, Knowland, Word, Excel, and Opera preferred
Job Duties
- Qualify incoming wedding, catering and social calls to determine the potential value of the business
- Draft menu proposals and conduct site inspections to secure related business
- Generate booking contracts and follow up to ensure proper return of contracts and deposits
- Execute and service all assigned weddings, catering and social events including taste meals, banquet event orders, and room block management
- Represent client needs to all operational departments and ensure highest standards of product quality and service
- Communicate client expectations clearly and timely across internal departments
- Be on site to efficiently execute weddings, catering, and social events
- Align event specifications with the physical hotel structure and monitor hotel room block fill
- Work with banquet team members to ensure on-site experience exceeds client's expectations
- Maintain excellent vendor relationships and update preferred vendor lists
- Complete duties and projects assigned by the Director of Catering
- Practice and promote Seaport's mission and values in everyday operations
