Job Requirements
- Must have 2+ years of catering, sales, and/or event management experience
- Industry certifications preferred
- Must be highly organized
- Maintain professional appearance
- Work well in a team environment
- Be prompt and dependable
- Be motivated and ambitious
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and clients
- General office and computer skills
- Knowledge of costing, selling, up-selling, and industry trends
- Marriott CI/TY experience preferred

Job Duties
- Actively pursue and secure business through promotions, prospecting, soliciting, re-soliciting, and inquiries
- Be an active participant in industry associations and networking opportunities
- Be an active and energetic participant in the Sales and Catering team, interdepartmentally throughout the hotel, and SMI
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly quotas/goals for revenue as well as business generating sales activities
- Work closely with and report directly to the Director of Catering
- Maintain a high level of professional customer service including responding promptly and courteously to client needs
- Utilize sales tools/systems to accurately identify, report, record, forecast, and communicate data
- Assist in the proper costing of menus and specialty orders
- Own each event from origination to execution ensuring accurate event detailing and execution
- Maintain compliance with hotel policies and confidentiality of proprietary information
