Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in sales, preferably in hospitality or catering
  • ability to work flexible hours including overtime
  • valid driver’s license
  • strong organizational skills
  • proficiency with sales software and Microsoft Office
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to travel locally as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in catering or banquet sales
  • strong knowledge of hotel sales operations
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • proficiency in sales planning and execution
  • knowledge of local market trends
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • management experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals
  • proactively conduct solicitation calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients
  • grow existing relationships with assigned accounts
  • monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment
  • approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • adhere to established regulations, company standards, and catering sales metrics
  • develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments
  • ensure daily event and banquet order documentation is accurate and timely
  • maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations
  • assist in implementing and participating in special sales promotions
  • attend daily, weekly, monthly meetings and any other functions required by management
  • perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales & Marketing
