Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent work experience in business marketing hospitality management or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales preferably within the catering or hospitality industry
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as needed for client meetings and events

Job Duties

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and expand the client base
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and grow existing accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored catering solutions
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and event execution
  • Prepare and present detailed catering proposals and contracts to clients
  • Negotiate terms pricing and service agreements to close sales and secure contracts
  • Collaborate with the catering team to ensure that client expectations are met and that events are executed smoothly
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of catering services including menu selection setup and logistics
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends competitor offerings and pricing strategies
  • Track and report on sales performance including revenue client acquisition and market penetration
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to continuously improve catering services and address any issues or concerns promptly
  • Work closely with the catering operations team to ensure alignment between sales and service delivery
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members as needed
