Job Requirements
- Three years of experience in a large catering, restaurant, or hotel food service operation
- One year of catering or banquet experience
- Three years of experience supervising or leading the work of others
- Ability to prepare reports, budgets, and documents
- Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures, and safety information
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in a large catering, restaurant, or hotel food service operation
- One year of catering or banquet experience
- Three years of experience supervising or leading staff including assigning and evaluating work and handling disciplinary issues
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to prepare reports, budgets, and documents
- Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures, and safety information
- Creativity in menu development and presentation
- Excellent customer service skills in phone, written, and in-person communication
Job Duties
- Serve as the initial contact for catering customers
- Provide direction and guidance to customers placing catering orders
- Communicate and coordinate with the Catering Chef and Catering Operations Manager to meet customer expectations
- Ensure successful execution of multiple on and off-site events daily
- Follow up with customer events to ensure satisfaction and complete accurate billing
- Supervise a 3-person office support staff including decisions on staffing and training
- Oversee budgetary responsibilities including staff allocation, menu pricing, purchasing, and cost management
