Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years experience in hotel catering sales or related field
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office and hotel sales software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Willingness to engage in self-development and team collaboration

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years hotel catering or similar industry experience
  • Proven ability to provide quality service
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with hotel management systems such as Delphi preferred
  • Knowledge of catering and food and beverage operations
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to effectively influence and solve problems
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills

Job Duties

  • Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat catering business to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Plan and coordinate meetings and functions including space, equipment, menus, and decor
  • Prepare and manage contracts and proposals
  • Conduct site inspections and client presentations
  • Collaborate with internal hotel departments to ensure quality service delivery
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market competition and sales strategies
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and follow up post-event
