Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management business administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in catering sales banquet management or related hospitality roles
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office and event management software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends as necessary
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent events and deadlines efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in catering sales or banquet event management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proven ability to coordinate large scale events and manage diverse client needs
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations and banquet services
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in preparing sales contracts and banquet event orders
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external clients
- Customer service orientation and problem solving skills
Job Duties
- Negotiate food and beverage prices function space and hotel services within approved departmental booking guidelines
- Confirm client group requirements in writing via sales contract terms addendums confirmation of pricing group resumes and banquet event orders
- Assist clients in menu planning food and beverage coordination table arrangements decorations traffic flow room set up group room blocks and VIP services
- Conduct pre-convention meetings with clients and operations team for larger programs confirm head counts and collect payments
- Work with sales and food and beverage teams to solicit new business up-sell client events and manage function space and room block inventory
- Coordinate with hotel departments to facilitate agreed upon services and communicate meeting event needs
- Prepare and distribute amenity request forms obtain approvals and ensure delivery
- Check function room set ups with Banquet Manager prior to guest arrival ensure compliance with client requirements and hotel standards
- Welcome group contact upon arrival ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor function setup refreshment and breakdown adherence to scheduled times and procedures
- Execute and distribute all Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and contracts timely
- Conduct hotel and banquet facility tours and entertain qualified clients according to policies
- Follow up with clients during and after events to ensure satisfaction secure future bookings
- Promote teamwork and service quality through communication with all hotel departments
- Interact with guests corporate accounts religious and social groups sports teams and other contacts to ensure satisfaction and generate business
