Job Duties
- directly report to the catering sales director
- sell and be responsible for different types of events including private events catering events weddings business meetings social events
- handle inquiries help create interest by outbound selling run sales site tours create estimates finalize sales create sales agreements and banquet event orders and all event details in advance manage all deposits and payments to ensure event is paid for
- assist in seeking new business and ensure return business to meet or exceed revenue goals participate in pre-event presentations property tours and customer meetings
- help develop and execute sales marketing plan including social media marketing to increase exposure and revenue growth
- prepare implement and compile data for various reports such as weekly catering revenue forecasts
- assist in the development of catering and banquet menus banquet wine lists and bar menus pricing catering contracts and rental fees
- develop and maintain vendor profiles including audiovisual floral equipment rental and photographers
- ensure accurate and timely invoicing for all services rendered and record events in the point of sale system
- develop banquet event orders participate in weekly sales meeting to review department progress and participate in weekly banquet event order meeting with food and beverage team to discuss all event details and help ensure successful execution of events
- monitor business volume forecast and communicate with food and beverage team regarding events staffing equipment and other expenses
- assist in producing and updating competitive price set on yearly basis
- implement and maintain excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction
- follow any changes or new policies and procedures in the department
- maintain regular and reliable attendance
