Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • at least 4 years experience in event planning and coordination including weddings corporate and social markets
  • experience with food beverage sales and marketing
  • working knowledge of food and beverage banquet style services
  • knowledge of catering menu planning and development
  • strong knowledge of food and beverage safety standards
  • familiarity with current catering food beverage and hospitality trends
  • ability to operate word processing spreadsheet and database systems ReServe Cloud knowledge preferred
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple competing tasks with high accuracy

  • ability to work effectively in diverse environments
  • proficiency in word processing spreadsheet and database systems preferred ReServe Cloud

  • ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines

Job Duties

  • Coordinate a variety of private catered events including weddings corporate and social markets
  • develop and coordinate logistics with outside vendors and departments including health department ABC and SDPD
  • create event staffing plans and manage all related logistics
  • develop cost analysis for budgeting including tracking expenses and revenue and reporting
  • cultivate and steward clients through customized experiences and tour activities
  • create event orders and planners for internal and external communications
  • track deposits guarantees and tickets
  • contract outside vendors negotiating best prices
  • direct staff and volunteers at events
