Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years catering, food-beverage or event administrative experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work full-time onsite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities
Job Qualifications
- Two years of catering, food-beverage or administrative event experience
- Basic PC knowledge and comprehension including Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple teams
- Experience with event management software preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Safe Food Handler Certification preferred
Job Duties
- Work as a member of the operations team supporting the Director of Catering, sales team and General Manager for perfect event execution
- Support the Event Manager and Captains and act as a junior sales specialist during high business levels
- Ensure all event information in CaterXpert is up to date and detailed prior to events or deadlines
- Assist in the setup and execution of events
- Schedule deliveries and pickups of event rentals coordinated with specialists or venue managers
- Maintain the event calendar via Outlook and attend event meetings and conference calls
- Communicate with sales, culinary and booking staff to ensure understanding of menus and client needs
- Collect and submit payments and deposits related to contracted events
- Review weekly accounts receivable reports for discrepancies and follow up on late payments
