Job Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in sales and catering management or related hospitality sales field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in contract creation and client documentation
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and event management
  • Ability to conduct hotel site inspections
  • Negotiation and creative selling skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Prospecting for new business including internet prospecting, cold calling and contacting former clients
  • attending industry events and programs
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Responding in a timely manner to incoming group and catering business opportunities
  • Conducting hotel site inspections and client presentations in person and virtually
  • Creating contracts and related booking documentation including activity tracking
  • managing and maintaining client account files
  • Detailing events to include food and beverage, set up and audio visual needs
  • making appropriate suggestions to meet group and hotel needs
  • Creating group resumes and communicating client needs to hotel departments
  • ensuring hotel staff follow through on requests
  • Using negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close business and negotiate contracts
