Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in catering or food service management
- Valid food handler's certificate if required by state or county
- Valid alcohol service permit if required by state or county
- Ability to supervise and mentor staff
- Proficiency with Point-of-Sale and timekeeping systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Basic math skills including cash handling
Job Qualifications
- Valid food handler's certificate if required
- Valid alcohol service permit if required
- Familiarity with inventory cost control and menu planning
- Proficiency in basic computer applications including email, Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of Point-of-Sale and timekeeping systems
- Strong cash handling and basic math skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to project professional manner and appearance
- Ability to work variable schedules including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Manage catering operations including staff and inventory
- Assist in the overall management of catering and concessions operations
- Ensure total compliance with all alcohol service policies
- Provide ongoing supervision, mentoring, and coaching to hourly event staff
- Monitor product quality and guest service levels
- Troubleshoot technical problems with Point-of-Sale systems
- Coordinate staffing schedules and employee assignments
- Oversee linen requirements and inventory management
- Assist in the training and documentation of employee performance
- Manage catered events from setup to teardown
- Market and sell catering services
- Maintain costing and pricing sheets
- Process client requests and special needs
