Job Requirements

  • Some college education
  • three plus years sales or catering experience
  • knowledge of hotel and food and beverage operations preferred
  • fluent English
  • ability to stand and move frequently
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • good communication skills
  • ability to perform reading, writing, and math tasks
  • problem solving and organizational skills
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to travel for events
  • adherence to company policies

Job Qualifications

  • Some college education
  • minimum three years sales or catering related experience
  • knowledge of hotel and food and beverage operations preferred
  • fluent in English
  • strong communication skills
  • proven ability in customer relationship management
  • strong negotiation skills
  • experience in event planning and coordination
  • proficiency in sales contract management

Job Duties

  • Establish client base through direct sales efforts
  • secure new business for the hotel
  • negotiate guest room rates and meeting room rentals
  • produce and review sales contracts and event orders
  • handle inquiries and provide client proposals
  • work with hotel departments to facilitate client services
  • welcome group contacts and ensure guest satisfaction
  • organize special events and site inspections
  • maintain client files and produce sales reports
  • provide five-star service as primary contact
  • attend trade shows and conventions
  • follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • promote teamwork and coordinate with departments
  • assist in sales action plans and budgeting
  • coordinate menu planning and banquet arrangements
  • perform other duties as assigned
