Job Requirements

  • Must be 19 years or older
  • minimum 5 years experience in lead cook or high-volume kitchen management
  • Serve Safe Manager certification or equivalent
  • ability to lift and move 50 pounds
  • able to sustain long hours working on feet
  • reliable transportation to scheduled shifts
  • experience with volume prep and recipe execution
  • ability to follow directives during busy periods
  • working knowledge of recipe measurements and common weights
  • advanced knife skills
  • detailed oriented
  • ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • skilled in multitasking and time management
  • flexible schedule based on event calendar
  • experience training employees
  • valid driver’s license, insurance, and legal ability to drive (preferred but not required)
  • smartphone recommended for communication and scheduling

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 5 years experience in a lead cook role in catering or high-volume kitchen
  • Serve Safe Manager certification or similar food safety certification
  • advanced knife skills
  • broad knowledge of cooking techniques, styles, and cuisines
  • experience in volume prep and recipe execution
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to train and supervise staff
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and catering events
  • ensure high-quality food preparation, presentation, and service
  • coordinate with event teams to manage timelines and logistics
  • maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
  • oversee accuracy of food orders and temperature control
  • train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques and recipe execution
  • manage kitchen operations according to company policies and procedures
