Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent education
  • minimum two years culinary experience
  • knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • ability to maintain a pleasant and calm demeanor under pressure
  • must have a working knowledge of ms excel and word
  • ability to stand for long hours
  • availability to work nights and weekends when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • experience in online ordering and knowledge of word and excel preferred
  • minimum two years culinary experience
  • culinary degree preferred
  • knowledge of basic cooking techniques
  • knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • must be organized and pay attention to detail in kitchen and food preparation
  • ability to maintain a pleasant and calm demeanor under pressure in a face paced environment
  • ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively
  • manual dexterity
  • must have a working knowledge of ms excel and word
  • ability to stand for long hours
  • some flexibility required
  • must be available to work nights and weekends when necessary

Job Duties

  • perform routine kitchen tasks and follow production lists and schedules
  • label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • assist with research and development of recipes and cataloging recipes in binders
  • scale recipes for production
  • set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes
  • attend catering events, set up food stations, and replenish food as needed
  • maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces including shelves in cooler and freezer and taking out trash
  • ensure that all food and other items are stored properly
  • comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • perform other kitchen duties as assigned
