Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of culinary experience
- Maricopa County food safety certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, twisting, and climbing
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects up to 55 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 165 pounds
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in confined spaces such as food trucks
- Capability to maintain focus on quality, safety, and efficiency while evaluating work practices
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in loud, hot, humid, or wet/slippery environments
- Ability to operate kitchen and food truck equipment safely and efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Maricopa County accredited food safety certification required within 30 days of hire
- Passion for culinary excellence with skills to create exciting and accessible new dishes appropriate for the venue's concept
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proven ability to work cohesively with staff and positively influence employee behavior and performance
- Openness and willingness to learn new techniques and improve abilities
- Ability to think quickly, multitask, and adapt to changing situations while maintaining product quality
- Skilled in direct interaction with guests
Job Duties
- Check on the quality of food prepared in the kitchen and constantly check for taste, temperature and visual appeal
- Ensure all dishes are uniform and adhere to established portion sizes
- Prepare daily preparation sheets for hot and cold side
- Ensure production of hot and cold side is completed correctly and stored properly before employees leave for the day
- Troubleshoot any food and kitchen or food truck related situations that arise
- Hire and train new catering cooks and dish crew
- Ensure all in house daily procedures are followed
- Insist and ensure kitchen and food trucks are consistently clean and orderly
- Ensure compliance with Maricopa County Health Department regulations
- Maintain impeccable personal and operational hygiene and high work and safety standards
- Complete knowledge of dietary restrictions
- Lead by professional example and promote a respectful, team minded work environment
- Offer help when possible and demonstrate a team player mentality
