Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Completion or willingness to complete sanitation course
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage and lead a team
  • Ability to work nights and weekends occasionally
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
  • Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and department requirements
  • Ensure food storage is safe, organized, and hazard-free
  • Maintain serving schedules and ensure food items are served per menu specifications
  • Keep the department sanitary in compliance with health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate inventory weekly
  • Prepare orders to ensure accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees and promote their growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor other food service workers
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklists
  • Recommend replacement of equipment
  • Multitask effectively
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Coordinate daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
