Job Requirements

  • minimum two years experience in catering or related food service business
  • ability to lift medium weight objects (approx. 20-50 lbs)
  • willingness to work in variable temperature environments
  • ability to work from ladders or in awkward positions
  • completion of a physical exam as part of the hiring process
  • members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend

  • two years experience in catering or related food service business
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • experience in event coordination preferred
  • leadership experience working with student or temporary staff
  • proficiency in managing event logistics
  • commitment to maintaining high service standards

Job Duties

  • Supervise catered events
  • coordinate with the customer regarding room setup and final service instructions
  • coordinate with banquet captain for needed equipment
  • consult with culinary staff for proper plate design and serving of meal
  • supervise student staff at the event
  • consult with custodial services regarding room setup
  • assist with training of student staff by conducting or participating in training meetings
