Job Requirements
- Must be available to work throughout the academic year including commencement weekend
- Availability for at least two 4-5 hour blocks of work Monday through Friday before 2 pm
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Willingness to enroll in DMV Pull Notice program
- No prior experience necessary as on-the-job training will be provided
- Flexibility with work hours
- No acceptance of tips as per policy
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in catering or customer service preferred but not required
- Ability to work well with others and maintain professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Basic knowledge of UCLA campus layout or willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license strongly recommended
Job Duties
- Deliver catering items including food and beverage around the UCLA campus
- Prepare food and beverage items for catering events
- Set up full displays and buffet arrangements before events
- Clean up after catered events
- Provide plated full course food service
- Buss tables during events
- Work under minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
- Maintain a customer-facing and hospitable demeanor throughout all duties
