Job Requirements

  • Age 18 or older
  • Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
  • Daily use of computer, phone, and kitchen facility equipment
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to navigate program or office environment effectively
  • Broad cooking skills for three meals a day
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and cleanliness practices
  • Able to understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 years related experience preparing food in a scratch kitchen preferred
  • Previous experience in an addiction treatment residential facility preferred
  • Safe Serv certification preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively relate to people from diverse backgrounds
  • Proficient in English for communication and documentation

Job Duties

  • Prepare nutritious meals in a full-service kitchen
  • Ensure special dietary needs of clients are met
  • Maintain health standards for food preparation and kitchen cleanliness
  • Work split shift hours when required
  • Maintain professional and friendly relationships with clients
  • Ensure client confidentiality in accordance with state and HIPAA guidelines
  • Document services and follow kitchen operating procedures
