Job Requirements
- Age 18 or older
- Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
- Daily use of computer, phone, and kitchen facility equipment
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
- Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
- Ability to navigate program or office environment effectively
- Broad cooking skills for three meals a day
- Knowledge of safe food handling and cleanliness practices
- Able to understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED preferred
- 2 years related experience preparing food in a scratch kitchen preferred
- Previous experience in an addiction treatment residential facility preferred
- Safe Serv certification preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to effectively relate to people from diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in English for communication and documentation
Job Duties
- Prepare nutritious meals in a full-service kitchen
- Ensure special dietary needs of clients are met
- Maintain health standards for food preparation and kitchen cleanliness
- Work split shift hours when required
- Maintain professional and friendly relationships with clients
- Ensure client confidentiality in accordance with state and HIPAA guidelines
- Document services and follow kitchen operating procedures
