Job Requirements

  • Experience in cooking, catering, or food service
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including event-based schedules
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, walk extensively and stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to wear uniform and personal protective equipment
  • Capability to follow sanitation, safety and alcohol service procedures
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking, catering, or food service required or preferred based on location needs
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Ability to acquire required food handling and alcohol service certifications
  • Availability to work flexible, event-based hours
  • Ability to follow required dress code and grooming standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstations with all required ingredients, supplies, and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
  • Safely use knives, utensils, and kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and steamers
  • Utilize various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Arrange, garnish, portion, and store food according to established standards and food safety policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service procedures
  • Set up catering and event service according to banquet event orders and client requests
  • Transport and deliver catering food, beverages, supplies, and equipment to event locations
  • Set up tables, chairs, buffet lines, and other event equipment as required
  • Serve guests and replenish food and beverage items during events
  • Maintain professional appearance and cleanliness of service and event areas
  • Break down, clean, and return equipment and supplies to designated storage locations after events
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, clients, and team members
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and security procedures to protect guests, staff, and company assets
