Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- SERVSafe or equivalent food safety certification
- At least 1 year of culinary leadership or management experience
- Experience with menu development, inventory control, and budget management
- Ability to coach and mentor students and team members
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours
- Successful completion of drug test, background check, and DOT clearance
- Valid driver license for vehicle operation
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform culinary tasks
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with technology tools for scheduling and inventory management
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Additional formal culinary education highly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in culinary leadership
- SERVSafe certified or equivalent in food safety, ideally certified to teach and proctor
- Minimum of 1 year experience building and expanding hospitality business including customized menus and corporate meetings
- Experience in menu creation, food preparation, inventory management, and budget adherence
- Basics of management including attendance, performance, rewards, discipline, and training
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to leverage technology for scheduling, inventory, reports, and purchasing
- Proven leadership developing cohesive teams
- Knowledge of issues facing people living near poverty
- Multilingual a plus, Spanish fluency highly preferred

Job Duties
- Manage successful execution of catering events to ensure customized needs of customers
- Coach and mentor students culinary skills, presentation, safety, and proactive ability to meet deadlines
- Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation and storage areas according to sanitation requirements
- Manage planning and execution of internal and external special events including media events, demonstrations, recordings, and donor events
- Assist in purchasing decisions with Executive Chef and Production Chef ensuring budgetary adherence
- Coordinate with Special Events Team and Volunteer Director to plan and execute events
- Develop strategies for increasing sales and profitability within catering and events scope
