Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of event planning experience
  • ability to organize and prioritize duties effectively
  • excellent communication skills via telephone, email, and in-person
  • capability to build and maintain client relationships
  • problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively
  • willingness to work regular attendance and flexible hours as required

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of event planning experience
  • team-oriented mindset and self-starter attitude
  • event experience within hotel or resort (advantageous)
  • knowledge of Social Tables (advantageous)
  • knowledge of Delphi.fdc (advantageous)

Job Duties

  • Negotiate business through proposals and contracts to close business
  • creatively design menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience
  • maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts
  • coordinate event documentation and communication with Sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure high-level service
  • serve as the primary on-site contact for event planners ensuring a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales
  • identify opportunities to upsell and offer event enhancements
  • assist with the sales process and customer site inspections as necessary
