Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of event planning experience
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts
  • proficiency in event management software preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • demonstrated teamwork and self-motivation
  • regular attendance

Job Qualifications

  • One year of event planning experience
  • team-oriented with a self-starter attitude
  • experience in event planning within hotel or resort settings preferred
  • knowledge of Social Tables
  • knowledge of Delphi.fdc

Job Duties

  • Negotiate business through proposals and contracts to close business
  • creatively design menus and events to maximize revenue and guest experience
  • maintain relationships with corporate and social accounts
  • document and coordinate events with Sales, hotel departments, and customers
  • ensure seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales
  • identify opportunities to upsell and enhance events
  • serve as primary contact for event planners during on-property phases
  • communicate promptly with clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person
  • resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions
  • participate in customer site inspections
  • manage event planning, prioritization, and organization
  • provide direction, guidance, and coaching to ensure high-quality service
  • perform other duties based on business needs
  • maintain regular attendance
