Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hotel catering or venue sales experience
  • familiarity with hotel property management systems
  • strong negotiation and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel catering sales, venue or convention center sales experience
  • knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Delphi.fdc
  • strong negotiation and sales skills
  • excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems effectively
  • experience in event coordination and client relationship management
  • demonstrated ability to upsell and maximize revenue
  • proficient in event documentation and service coordination

Job Duties

  • Negotiate business through proposals and contracts to close business
  • design creative menus and events to maximize revenue and enhance event experience
  • maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts
  • manage event documentation and coordinate with sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure high-level service
  • ensure a smooth turnover process from sales to service and back to sales
  • identify and leverage opportunities to upsell and offer enhancements
  • serve as the primary contact for event planners during the event process
  • organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
  • communicate timely with internal and external clients via phone, email, written documents, or in-person
  • resolve conflicts and negotiate while handling complaints, disputes, and grievances
  • participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process
