Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of related work experience
  • ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing
  • proficiency with office and sales-related software
  • ability to handle moderate physical tasks such as lifting up to 10 pounds
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
  • ability to work full time and maintain professional appearance
  • no supervisory experience required
  • no licenses or certifications needed

Job Duties

  • perform general office tasks to support sales and marketing such as filing emails transcribing information sending faxes and photocopying
  • prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process such as proposals contracts and banquet event orders
  • promote brand awareness internally and externally
  • gather materials and assemble informational packages such as brochures and promotional items
  • use sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty to Marriott
  • enter withdraw reconcile and verify sales data such as commissions initiatives and third-party information using sales-related software
  • respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel facilities services activity schedules rates room types packages promotions entertainment restaurants and special events
  • serve as a point of contact with clients communicating via phone and email to address questions and requests
  • comply with company policies maintain a clean and professional appearance and protect confidential information and company assets
  • welcome and recognize guests per company standards anticipating and meeting their service needs with genuine appreciation
  • communicate clearly and professionally both orally and in writing and answer telephones using proper protocol
  • cultivate positive working relationships support team goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • adhere to quality assurance expectations
  • move and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
