Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in catering or event management
  • Proven track record of successful event planning and sales
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations for events
  • Oversee all phases of event preparation from menu development to execution
  • Coordinate activities of various departments to service accounts
  • Assist and work with the Director of Catering and Convention Services in sales activities related to the Catering Sales Marketing Plan
  • Ensure timely distribution of event details such as Banquet Event Orders and change logs
  • Assist sales staff in promoting the hotel, developing leads, and securing rebooking
  • Conduct tours of the hotel and banquet facilities and entertain qualified potential clients
  • Address issues and challenges to ensure smooth operation and high-quality service
