Job Requirements

  • Part-time availability, approximately 19 hours per week
  • Experience in food service and kashrut oversight
  • Strong administrative and budgeting capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle allergy and complaint management effectively
  • Previous supervisory experience

Job Qualifications

  • Familiarity with kosher food preparation and kitchen management
  • Experience supervising Mashgiach and catering staff
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Experience coordinating logistics across multiple departments
  • Ability to engage with community and leadership skills
  • Experience managing food service and special event programming

Job Duties

  • Creating menus
  • Projecting attendance and communicating with Five Star about quantities
  • Coordinating food deliveries
  • Arranging fridge and storage space, ordering equipment, and managing kitchen storage
  • Tracking inventory
  • Handling CafCard charges manually due to system changes
  • Managing complaints, sign-up issues, and allergies
  • Coordinating special meals such as JSS or Sephardic Shabbatonim and weekly meals
  • Coordinating logistics between OSL, UTS, the Cafeteria, and Five Star
  • Preparing the weekly Shabbos schedule
  • Inviting and housing guests
  • Hiring and supervising Mashgiach and wait staff
  • Supervising Friday night and Shabbos day meals
  • Overseeing all food orders and budgeting while making menu adjustments
  • Coordinating on-site at Wilf Campus
