Job Requirements
- Hospitality experience
- ability to read, write, follow written and oral instructions
- ability to meet and serve customers in a polite and friendly manner

- ability to move both arms and shoulders while working
- ability to move, lift and carry supplies, equipment, and materials weighing up to 60 pounds from floor to waist height and 50 pounds to shoulder height
- ability to carry supplies up or down stairs if necessary
- ability to pull and/or push carts and containers
- ability to work in confined areas with wide temperature variations

Job Duties
- Serve the menu of the day in the manner prescribed by the Department of Dining Halls, on customer service lines and by waiting on tables
- transport food and supplies from storage and preparation areas to service areas
- assist in receiving and storing necessary food and supplies and maintain related records
- use and maintain tools and equipment in the prescribed manner, including steam tables, beverage dispenser equipment, food display cases, condiment tables, dishwashing machines, dining room tables and chairs, bussing trucks
- check in customers, receive meal payment, maintain record and perform other clerical duties as prescribed by the assigned supervisor
- clean and maintain areas such as kitchens, dining room, dish room, serving room, and basements
- wash dishes
- assist other employees in the performance of their job as directed by supervisors
- observe safety standards and practices
- perform related duties as required or assigned within job classification
