Job Requirements

  • At least one year of experience working with adult learners in an academic setting
  • Expertise and teaching expertise in subject matter
  • Some subject matters may require educational degrees
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to conduct classes in person and/or via distance education
  • Availability for part-time temporary appointment
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Conduct lectures in assigned subject matter under general supervision
  • Include instructional assignments involving distance education as needed
  • Teach scheduled classes which may include evening, weekend, and off-campus assignments
  • Prepare instructional materials and course outlines
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback
  • Maintain appropriate records of student attendance and progress
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required
