Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of prior experience in a porter or janitorial role preferred
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Customer service orientation with problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Six months of previous experience as a porter or in a comparable cleaning/janitorial position within a casino or public areas preferred
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to respond courteously and professionally to guest inquiries and challenges
- Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation protocols
Job Duties
- Sweeps and removes all wrappers, broken glass, ashtrays, and debris from floor
- Removes scuffmarks and drink spills
- Cleans up biohazard areas
- Cleans slot chairs, polishes their bases, and then returns chairs to proper position
- Vacuums entire assigned stations, moving chairs and other objects to ensure thorough cleaning
- Removes trash, replaces missing ashtrays, and wipes out and cleans all ashtrays and trash cans
- Ensures all equipment is returned to department and all malfunctioning equipment is reported
- Replenishes supplies when necessary
- Responds to and resolves guest challenges in a timely manner and creatively solves problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties
