Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older if located in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO
- Otherwise, must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must embrace the afternoon to evening second shift schedule typically between 2 PM and midnight
- Must be willing to work hard and stay on feet for most of the shift
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- Basic math proficiency including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass criminal history background check
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Detail-oriented
- Reliable and responsible
- Flexible and adaptable
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older if located in specific states, otherwise 21 years or older
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays including afternoon to evening hours
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Friendly demeanor and ability to make people feel welcome
- Attention to detail with a focus on enhancing customer experience
- Reliable presence during critical hours
- Adaptable and ready to take on various tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed
- Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales ensuring compliance with all age verification and legal requirements
- Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales
- Keep the inside and outside of the store clean and safe including deep cleaning restrooms, wiping down and sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter and trash, taking out the trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh and full
- Maintain a clean and organized store by sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, and maintaining entryways
- Cross-train in other departments including deli as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed
