Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum six months cashier experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including cleaning, lifting and standing for long periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling and portion control
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and food safety procedures
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work variable shifts including 8-hour shifts
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Knowledge of sanitation and food handling regulations.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Six months cashier experience preferred
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services
- Ability to meet quality standards and evaluate customer satisfaction
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines
- Experience operating kitchen equipment and cash registers
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food temperature controls and hygiene standards.
Job Duties
- Thoroughly clean all cafeteria areas including serving areas, tables, chairs, floors, counters, shelves, cashier stands, refrigerators, beverage areas, and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by taking food orders, serving food, and preparing food for customers
- Serve customers following proper portioning techniques
- Take and record food temperatures as directed and act if food is out of proper temperature range
- Operate a cash register following all cash accuracy, handling, and customer service guidelines
- Assist with catering setup and cleanup as needed
- Perform various food preparation assignments including salads, sandwiches, desserts, special diet meals, and catering
- Stock workstations routinely
- Dispose of garbage according to standards
- Deliver patient trays if required
- Prepare and serve food following recipes and product directions ensuring quality and safety
- Operate kitchen equipment to measure, mix, wash, peel, cut and shred ingredients
- Taste products and maintain accurate production and supply records
- Deliver food supplies to various locations and ensure proper temperature control and record keeping
- Minimize food waste
- Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, steam tables, and equipment following regulatory rules.
