Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role
- Proficiency in English communication
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Job Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and cash handling purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail sales techniques
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and confidence
- Assist customers with product demonstrations and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting remote customers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
