Job Duties
- Greeting customers and guests
- Assuring eligibility to enter Dining Halls
- Explaining department policies tactfully and positively
- Accurately accounting for cash and other tender
- Monitoring for illegal entry and removal of food and equipment from Dining Halls
- Answering guests' questions and directing to proper area within building or on campus
- Assuring accuracy of procedures when assisted
- Accurately recording and totaling purchases on itemizing cash register
- Making proper change
- Resolving any conflict promptly and with courtesy
- Assuring security of funds entrusted
- Accounting for all transactions at the end of shift
- Observing department standards of courtesy, service, sanitation and safety
- Maintaining a neat, well groomed, professional appearance
- Performing related tasks of Food Service Worker-Support, Service, and Sanitation when requested
- Performing other tasks as requested
