Job Requirements
- County of San Diego Food Handler card
- Ability to prepare food items from production sheets
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and diverse guest base
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
- Ability to count currency
- Ability to appear for work on time

- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications
- County of San Diego Food Handler card
- High school diploma, High school certificate of completion, or G.E.D. preferred
- Coffee barista experience preferred
- Food service experience preferred
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Guest service experience preferred
- Ability to prepare food items from production sheets
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and diverse guest base
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

Job Duties
- Provides guests with service by acknowledging and welcoming guests promptly
- Taking and serving orders
- Preparing food products following production sheets and recipes
- Pouring, mixing, blending, reheating, and portioning as appropriate
- Responding to guest requests
- Collecting and processing payment and returning change following established procedures
- Maintains safe and sanitary area by checking coffee and food products for appropriate temperature and freshness
- Replenishing and rotating food items as necessary
- Following correct cooling and storage procedures
- Cleaning coffee equipment and surrounding areas
- Organizing workstation according to established procedures
- Provides accounting of transactions during shift by entering cash transactions into point of sale system
- Counting currency
- Logging guest discounts, VIP points, and credit cards on to cashier drop worksheet
- Balancing money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures
- Reporting discrepancies to the supervisor or food and beverage management team
- Ensures work area is stocked and clean by submitting supply requisitions
- Placing delivered beverages, food, and supplies in designated areas
- Replenishing condiments and supplies
- Cleaning shelves, guests’ tables, chairs, and surrounding areas
