Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate a point-of-sale system
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Texas Alcohol Food Beverage Commission (TABC) certification
  • Prior cash handling experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service
  • Scan and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other forms of payment
  • Issue receipts and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Bag or package customer purchases as needed
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide assistance with product selection
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
  • Stock and replenish supplies at the checkout counter
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security
  • Assist with other store tasks such as stocking shelves or cleaning
  • Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary
  • Promote store promotions and loyalty programs
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
