Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
- Two years experience in customer service and cash handling in multiple currencies
- Valid Texas Driver License or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Must undergo thorough background check and certified school transcripts
- Must pass drug and alcohol test prior to employment
- Ability to comply with City of Laredo policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
- Ability to maintain good physical condition
- Willingness to operate City vehicles
- Must be able to function in a principle-based organization with character and core values
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
- Two years experience in customer service and cash handling in multiple currencies
- Knowledge of modern office procedures including computers and applicable software
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing in English and orally in Spanish
- Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to operate digital video auditing systems
- Ability to maintain a valid Texas Driver License and good driving record
Job Duties
- Prepare and conduct cash-out for collectors, bill changers, and turnstiles
- Prepare reports and deposits, balance change funds, and issue money to collectors
- Reconcile spreadsheets and update all ledgers
- Conduct cash audits with internal and external auditors as needed
- Operate and maintain equipment, train new cashier tellers
- Provide customer service and assist customers with questions or concerns
- Process new AVI accounts and maintain customer account information
- Monitor supply inventory at each workstation
- Drive a City vehicle for City business use
- Perform other duties as assigned
