Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing and walking for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures below freezing, refrigerated, and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and cold environments
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment such as box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- cleans and stocks front end areas, including own register
- follows all cash handling procedures, meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy
- assists with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members
- assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines
- proactively participates in company programs as directed by leadership
- provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques
- answers phones and pages promptly and courteously
- maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising of products
- follows and ensures compliance with established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties
- reports safety hazards and violations immediately
- performs other duties as assigned by leadership
- completes shopper training and tasks as assigned for those hired November 2024 and beyond
